He can work with you to give the finish you choose, using different techniques with the trowel, straight edge or sponge. Some popular finishes are the smooth finish of modern stucco, Adobe or Mediterranean style, spatter dash and the sandy finish achieved when using the sponge. The technique gives the finish.
